About the host
Commercial insurance producer, serial entrepreneur, and the voice making risk management fun to listen to.
Jessica Villarreal has spent her whole career inside businesses at their most decisive moments. For more than a decade she was a partner at Frontera, a technology and communications consulting firm, driving the behind-the-scenes strategies that keep data moving across wireline and wireless networks. Precision, communication, and getting it done, no matter how complex the challenge.
Today she channels that same operational grit into commercial insurance, building high-impact coverage programs as a Commercial Lines Producer at a leading global brokerage. She holds the CLCS designation (Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist) and works with companies that move fast, think big, and need someone who can keep pace and protect their growth every step of the way.
What makes her different is that she's sat on both sides of the table. She has been the entrepreneur: owner of a pioneering streetwear boutique, marketing director for an import house, and a longtime partner in Roosevelt's at 7, a beloved eatery and alehouse in McAllen's Art District. She spent nearly six years leading fundraising campaigns for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She knows what it feels like when the business you built is on the line, and that is exactly the energy she brings to every episode.
Jessica studied Pre-Law and International Business at St. Mary's University, works in English and Spanish, and lives in McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley.
Most business owners meet their insurance policy twice: the day they buy it and the day they need it. Jessica's Risky Business closes that gap with real claims, real disasters, and unapologetically entertaining storytelling that leaves you knowing exactly what questions to ask before renewal day.
