Jessica Villarreal spent more than a decade as a partner at a technology and communications consulting firm before moving into commercial insurance, where she now builds coverage programs for companies that move fast and cannot afford to be wrong about what they bought. She holds the CLCS designation and was named Rookie of the Year at her brokerage.
She has also lived the risks she writes about. She has been a boutique owner, a marketing director, a longtime partner in a restaurant and alehouse in McAllen's Art District, and a campaign leader for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
